Paula Fernandes is a songwriter and a singer who was born in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais- Brasil. Now she’s 27. Began singing at childhood: at age 8. At 10, released her first independent album “Paula Fernandes”. At this time, she performed in parties and festivals. Around her city, she participated in television and radio to publicize her job.

At 12, Paula moved with her family to São Paulo and was hired by a rodeo company with whom she worked for five years, traveling throughout Brazil as a singer of the group, what got her more experient about repertoire and artistic life. In the same year, inspired by the success of the novel “Ana Raio e Zé Trovão”, Paula released her second CD “Ana Rayo” with the repertoire pop/backcountry. She was presented to the director Jaime Monjardim by the music producer Marcus Viana, known for creating soundtracks.

Author of the success “Meu eu em você”, Paula Fernandes released an album who called “Canções do Vento Sul” by the company “Universal Music”, and with participations like Sérgio Reis, who said that she has the most beautiful voice that he listened in ten years, and the group Sagrado Coração da Terra. With this disc, she earned an important indication to Tim Brazilian Music Award 2006 in the category of Best Popular Singer.

Thereafter, Paula was established as a singer with a beautiful voice, very ecletic and popular. Recorded songs like “Dust in the wind”, “Quando a chuva passar” and more. Her success “Jeito de mato”, from the CD “Pássaro de Fogo” was the most popular song of the novel “Paraíso”, as the love theme of the protagonists.

In October, 2010, Paula Fernandes recorded her first DVD, containing her greatest and new songs including especial contributions by Victor e Leo and Leonardo. On December 25, 2010, Paula Fernandes sang for 700.000 pessoas, participating in the special year-end Roberto Carlos, broadcast live on TV Globo.
